The DAUM Museum of Contemporary Art opened in 2002. Prior to the DAUM, a new house was designed by our firm to house Daum’s growing collection of Art. A few years later, a large gallery space was added to Dr. Daum’s house in order to accommodate his growing art collection.
In 1998, Dr. Daum donated 2 million dollars to build a museum on the grounds of Sedalia’s State Fair Community College in order to share his collection of modern paintings, sculpture and ceramics.
The 9,300 square foot museum includes nine exhibition galleries on three floors.
